Itineraries
Day 1
The Ascent to Assekrem

Our adventure begins at dawn, leaving Tamanrasset in sturdy 4x4s destined for the soul of the Sahara. We weave through a breathtaking canvas of volcanic rock formations, ancient and silent under the vast African sky. Our first stop is the hidden oasis of Afilal, where a refreshing guelta (rock pool) offers a moment of cool serenity. After a traditional lunch under the shade of tamarisk trees, we continue our ascent. The road climbs towards the heavens, culminating at the sacred plateau of Assekrem. Here, we establish our first desert camp. As the afternoon softens, we make the final pilgrimage to the peak. Standing where Charles de Foucauld once sought solitude, we witness a sunset that sets the sky ablaze with color, a profound welcome to the Hoggar Mountains.
Day 2
Ancient Spirits & Tuareg Hearts

Before the first light, we rise to witness Assekrem's legendary sunrise—a celestial performance where golden rays ignite the mountain peaks, a moment of pure, silent magic. After a warm breakfast, we descend into the valleys, journeying to the timeless Tuareg village of Tarhhananet. We are welcomed into the rhythm of Saharan life, sharing stories and a heartfelt homemade lunch with a local family. The afternoon leads us deeper into the desert's open museum to the prehistoric rock engravings of Taghmart. As dusk falls, our guides build a secluded camp. Under a blanket of infinite stars, we dine by the fire, immersed in the profound silence and ancient stories of the desert.
Day X
Markets & Memories

We savor a final, peaceful breakfast amidst the timeless landscapes of Taghmart before beginning our return journey to Tamanrasset. The drive is a farewell tour through the majestic rock labyrinths and plains of the Hoggar. Back in the vibrant Saharan capital, the air changes. We dive into the bustling African market, a crossroads of cultures where scents of spices and the vivid colors of Tuareg handicrafts—silver jewelry, blue veils, and leatherwork—create a sensory feast. It’s the perfect place to find a tangible memory of your journey. The day concludes with a relaxed dinner, reflecting on the profound experiences and connections forged in the desert's heart.
