Morning Departure from Algiers
Your day begins with a scenic 2-hour drive from Algiers along the Mediterranean coast to Tipaza.
Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania
Our first stop is the mysterious Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania, also called Kbour er Roumia. Standing 261 meters above sea level, this circular stone structure is believed to be the tomb of King Juba II and Queen Cleopatra Selene, daughter of the legendary Cleopatra VII. Its grandeur and mystery make it one of Algeria’s most iconic monuments.
Roman Ruins of Tipaza
We continue to Tipaza, a coastal archaeological site founded by Phoenicians and later a thriving Greco-Roman city. Here you will walk among amphitheaters, forums, temples, mosaics, villas, necropolises, and the ancient port, all overlooking the crystal-clear Mediterranean Sea with Mount Chenoua in the backdrop.
