Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Oryx Voyage, we understand that plans can change. We strive to be as flexible and fair as possible when cancellations are necessary. This policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancellations and refunds for tours booked through us. Please read it carefully.

1. General Booking Terms

  • Deposit: A deposit of 30% of the total tour price is required to confirm your booking.

  • Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 15 days before the tour start date. For bookings made less than 30 days before departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

  • Non-Payment: Failure to pay the balance by the due date may be treated as a cancellation, and our cancellation policy will apply.

 

2. Cancellation by the Traveler

If you wish to cancel your tour, you must notify us in writing via email to info@oryxvoyage.com. The date we receive your written notification will be the date used to calculate the cancellation charges.

Cancellation charges are applied as follows:

  • More than 30 days before departure: Loss of deposit (30% of total tour price).

  • Between 15 and 30 days before departure: 50% of the total tour price is forfeited.

  • Less than 15 days before departure or “No Show”: 100% of the total tour price is forfeited. No refund will be issued.

Please Note: Certain services, such as domestic flight tickets, special permits, or specific hotel bookings, may have their own non-refundable conditions. These amounts will be deducted from any potential refund in addition to the standard cancellation fees.

 

3. Refund Processing

  • Eligibility: Any refunds due will be calculated according to the schedule in Section 2.

  • Timeline: Once a refund is approved, it will be processed within 30 business days to the original method of payment.

  • Bank Charges: All bank transfer fees or currency conversion losses incurred during the refund process will be deducted from the refunded amount.

 

4. Cancellation or Modification by Oryx Voyage

  • Force Majeure: We will not be liable for any cancellation, delay, or change due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, threat of war, terrorist activities (or threats thereof), civil unrest, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, adverse weather conditions, pandemics, or government actions.

  • Minimum Group Size: Some tours may require a minimum number of participants to operate. If we must cancel a tour due to low enrollment, we will notify you at least 30 days before departure. You will be offered the choice of a full refund, a credit for a future tour, or an alternative tour of comparable standard.

  • Major Changes: We reserve the right to modify tour itineraries due to local conditions, safety concerns, or logistical issues. If a significant change is made (e.g., a major destination is removed), we will inform you as soon as possible. You may then choose to accept the change, receive a credit for a future tour, or cancel for a full refund.

 

5. Travel Insurance Requirement

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking. Your policy should cover cancellation, curtailment, personal liability, loss of luggage and personal effects, and medical expenses. Having insurance is the best way to protect yourself financially in case of unforeseen circumstances that force you to cancel your trip.

 

6. Unused Services

No refunds or credits will be given for any unused portions of a tour, including accommodation, meals, sightseeing, or transportation, whether voluntarily missed or otherwise.

 

7. Booking Amendments

If you wish to change your tour dates after your booking has been confirmed, we will do our best to accommodate your request. Amendments are subject to availability and may incur administrative fees, as well as any additional costs imposed by our suppliers (hotels, airlines, etc.).
